Aladdin Performance!

Aladdin Performance!
Well Done to our Year 6 children who put on a fantastic pantomime version of Aladdin last week. The children have worked incredibly hard and performed exceptionally well on the two nights they performed! We would also like to thank all of the parents who came to support our show – it was a huge success!

Plastic Fantastic Competition!

GARNIER PLASTIC FANTASTIC RECYCLING PROGRAMME

Pupils can make a difference by collecting plastic and have the chance to win great prizes too! Our school will earn points for every piece of bathroom plastic that pupils donate. The school that collects the most plastic will win a £10,000 playground makeover! We are also challenging pupils to design a recycling hub for the school. The most inspirational school recycling hub design submitted before Wednesday 3rd July, will win an iPad for the school.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:

  • Collect plastic bathroom waste and send these items into school for recycling before Friday 5th July– see link below for example of what to bring in.
  • Design a Recycling hub and give your entry to your school councillor Wednesday 3rd July – see link below entry form.

The school will be following Kirklees guidance and the practice of neighbouring schools in authorising one days leave for Eid.

Easter Fayre 2019!

Wow! What a fantastic Easter Fayre we had on Wednesday! We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated chocolate, eggs and buns, entered competitions and bought raffle tickets and came along to support the Fayre! We have raised a phenomenal £1207!

Orienteering Championship!

Yorkshire and Humberside Schools’ Orienteering Championship

Canklow Woods, near Rotherham S60 2UH, morning of Sunday 12th May 2019

Run for your school! Form a team of three or more or come as an individual.

This event is is open to the general public.

Some experience of orienteering is necessary.

Parents/ leaders should accompany their child to the event but the children can run their course independently or in pairs. Children will compete on a course suited to their age and ability. Adults are encouraged to have a go too!

No equipment is needed other than clothes suitable for the weather and to run in. Full legwear eg tracksuit bottoms must be worn. An electronic “dibber” will be loaned by the organising club for £1.

Entry fee is £4.00 per child

We had some wonderful costumes this year to celebrate World Book Day! We also had some of the older children in school reading with the younger children which was great to see!
