Summer Reading Challenge!

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays. You can sign up at your local library, then read six library books of your choice to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, and it’s FREE to take part! The challenge is aimed at 4-12 year olds, but this year there is a special challenge for under 4 year olds as well. The Summer Reading Challenge website helps you keep track of your reading all year round: find new books to read, take part in competitions and play games. In addition to the challenge, over the summer all Kirklees Libraries will be having free events, including Stop-Motion Animation Workshops, Meet a Creature, Yorkshire Owl Experience, author talks and all sorts of other activities.
